Abraham Was Fully Persuaded On God’s Promise
I love this passage of Scripture from Romans 4 that talks about Abraham, the Father of our faith, who stood firm on the promise that God made to him. The Word says that he was fully persuaded that what God promised He would do.
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform. Romans 4:20-21
He trusted in the God who quickens the dead and calls those things that be not as though they were.
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Romans 4:17
Why? Because if He said it, it had to happen. Abraham knew that! And I can just imagine him bragging on God. “God said that I am going to be the father of many nations,” was his confession. Every time he looked at the stars in the sky, he would remember God’s promise and say, “My children are as numerous as the stars in the sky!” And I believe that he kept saying it until he saw the manifestation of the seed, his son, Isaac.
He Said What God Said
He said what God said. It’s as simple as that! He was calling those things into this earth realm with the words of his mouth. And guess what? You can too!!!
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23 (NKJV)
Make up in your mind today that you are going to, not only stand on God’s Word (His Promise to you), but you are going to speak His Word and call those things that be not Until. They. Are!!!
